Mr Craig Broughton Dip CDT RCSEd

Bio

Craig graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University as a Dental Technician in 2014. In 2017 he attended the University of Central Lancashire, studying Clinical Dental Technology. He later graduated in 2019 from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, becoming one of only approximately 360 Clinical Dental Technicians (CDT) in the entire UK!

Craig started his professional career working and training in Guisborough developing his skills as a prosthetics technician and in 2019 he opened his own dental laboratory enabling him to hone these skills and develop new techniques. The following year, in 2020, Craig started to provide care at Church Street Dental Practice as a CDT, a role that allows him to oversee the patient’s whole denture journey. Craig is able to provide both complete and partial dentures by taking impressions, doing a bite registration and a final fit. Thus manufacturing the denture from start to finish resulting in the patient receiving a bespoke, high-quality, prosthesis.

To date Craig has had several articles published in recognition of the quality of his work, been a finalist in both 2023 and 2024 for 'Dentistry Awards - Best CDT' and has won the 'Aesthetic Dentistry Award for full dentures'!

Away from his busy work as a CDT and running his own dental laboratory, Craig enjoys spending quality time with his young family and two dogs and is a keen cyclist. He also enjoys family holidays in a 'wet but wonderful' Lake District.
